You may be wondering why this is called The Jam Planner. Like what does that even mean?
Well, for starters, it represents both creators by being the first three letters of Jamiee’s name, and the initials of Jordan’s. Additionally and most importantly, it is the bread and butter of the whole planner.
It is a 52-week digital planner that you can use on your iPad or tablet to plan out your week, while also tracking your habits and self care.

At the foundational level, our digital planner is an interactive PDF document. It’s a digital file that simulates the traditional planner experience because with the right tools you’re able to write anywhere in the document, as you would with pen and paper, and there are hyperlinks throughout the document to move from one section to the next with ease.
To utilize our digital planner, you need two things:
(1) a device that can open a PDF, and
(2) a PDF markup tool.
For the best digital planning experience, we recommend using an iPad or tablet with a stylus. This is how you get closest to the traditional planning experience, digitally. You can use a smart phone or a computer with a PDF markup app, but remember with these devices you would likely opt to type into the planner instead of handwrite.

After you purchase The Jam Planner, you will receive an email to confirm your purchase and a link to download.

A PDF markup tool is software that allows you to annotate (or write on) a PDF document. Without a PDF markup tool, you’ll essentially just have a blank template.
We recommend the Goodnotes app, if you don’t already have an app, as this is the app we used to pilot and test The Jam Planner. We also find that Goodnotes has great functionality and user experience for digital planning. However, any PDF markup tool will work! Some popular other markup apps are Notability and Noteful.

The best way to use the planner is to follow your jam. The first part of the planner is what sets the foundation: the Annual JAM — Joy, Ambitions and Mantra. The responses you offer for each of these sections will help you create your vision board for the year ahead.
At the beginning of each month, on your monthly spread, we provide an inspirational quote from an iconic Black woman and blank space for your intentions, priorities and notes.
As you plan through any given month, each weekly spread will feature the Weekly JAM — Joy, Affirmation and Mood. Each week, you will be able to reflect on what brought you joy, receive an affirmation and track your daily mood. The weekly spread also includes a habit tracker, a to-do list bucketed by category and a space to set priorities for each day.
Lastly, when you approach the end of every month, you will find the Monthly JAM - Journal, Accomplishments and Moments. Responding to these will help you reflect on the past month and check in on your progress towards the goals you set at the start of the year.
We hope these components help you to have your best year yet!
